The Truth About Fake Income Dashboards (And Why You Should Think Twice Before Believing the Hype)
Let’s Get Real…
You’re doing your thing - building, creating, learning - when suddenly BAM 💥 a screenshot hits your feed:
"$67,899 in 3 days!"
"Look what my funnel made overnight!"
"All from 1 digital product 🤯"
Your stomach flips. You feel behind. You start questioning your life, your offers, and whether you should just give it all up and start selling socks on Etsy. Like maybe you missed some secret shortcut… or maybe you’re just not cut out for this.
But What if That Dashboard was FAKE?
Not embellished. Not exaggerated.
Straight-up fabricated.
Welcome to the Era of Fabricated Success
⚠️ Yes—There’s an Actual Tool That Lets You Fake It
Last week, I stumbled across something wild: a website that literally lets people create FAKE INCOME DASHBOARDS that look just like Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, Stan, Beacons, Coinbase, and more.
👉 The site? It’s called screen.framer.ai/
👉 And it’s designed to let people “mock up” dashboard screenshots in seconds.
No code. No design skills.
Just a few clicks - and boom - you’ve got a professional-looking income screenshot showing thousands in sales, pending payouts, refund graphs, even customer transactions.
I was totally shocked.
Because this is exactly the kind of tool people are using to:
- Build fake credibility
- Manipulate social proof
- Trigger FOMO
- And sell you into a $3,000 course or $10,000 coaching container
And the worst part?
IT WORKS!!!
People see numbers and instantly trust. That’s why this trend is so dangerous.
I’ve always side-eyed these “$80K in a weekend” posts.
They’ve got big “Trust Me Bro” Energy.
And they always seem to land right before a launch, right after a “pivot,” or just casually tossed into a Reel like, “Oh BTW, made $60K this morning 😌.”
I knew something didn’t add up.
But I didn’t realize there was an actual website built to generate these screenshots on demand.
Charts, balances, payout buttons… all of it. Designed to look legit.
This isn’t just smoke and mirrors - it’s a damn production.
It’s strategy. A strategy built on illusion.
🚨 Why I’ve Never Posted Income Claims
I’ve always been against posting revenue screenshots. Not because I don't celebrate wins, because I absolutely do - but because this whole online space is obsessed with showing the outcome and skipping the journey.
Here’s what most entrepreneurs don’t see behind the flex:
- It’s not verified.
- It’s not audited.
- And now, it might not even be real.
We’re not just in the “highlight reel” era anymore. We’re in the fabricated proof era.
So while some people are out here faking dashboards to sell you dreams, others (like you and me) are building something real - brick by brick, post by post, late night by late night.
😂 Let’s Add a Little Humor…
Imagine pulling up to your accountant with one of these fake screenshots and saying:
"Hey! I’d like to withdraw my $89K. No, I didn’t earn it. But LOOK, doesn’t it look pretty?"
They’d probably ask if you’ve had enough sleep. Or recommend therapy. Or both.
But online? People are getting followers, clients, and sales with this kind of smoke-and-mirrors marketing.
👀 5 Signs the Screenshot You’re Seeing Might Be Fake
Want to protect yourself (and your wallet)?
Watch for these red flags:
- Suspiciously “Optimized” Numbers - like someone was designing a win, not reporting one.
- No Context, No Caption, No Explanation - Just a big number and “DM me to learn how.”
- The Same Template used across Creators - All the dashboards start looking suspiciously identical.
- No Receipts, No Customer Proof, No Story - Just flash. No substance.
- All Flex, No Strategy - If the only thing they post is numbers and lifestyle pics, it’s a performance… not a business.
- The “flex” shows up right before a product drop.
💡 What to Trust Instead
It is important for me to mention that I am in NO WAY saying everyone is faking it. I’m saying you have every right to question the noise.
Genuine proof doesn’t always come wrapped in fancy graphics.
Here’s what actually Builds Trust and Influence:
- Creators who show their process, not just their payouts
- Business owners who talk about the messy middle - not just the milestones
- People who share the Real Stuff: the failures, the pivots, the learnings
- Transparent pricing, clear offers, and consistent value delivery
- Actual client transformations, not just vanity metrics
Because truth?
A real $1K month built with heart is worth more than a fake $100K screenshot built on lies.
💬 Final Thoughts: You’re Not Behind - You’re Building
If you’ve been second-guessing yourself lately…
If you’ve been tempted to buy something just because it looks like someone is killing it…
Pause.
The internet has become a circus of screenshots. And now that we know how easy it is to fake one, let’s stop letting them define our worth or success.
There’s no shortcut to alignment, consistency, or confidence.
But there is a shortcut to screenshots.
Don’t let it trick you into feeling like you’re not doing enough.
You’re doing great. Even if it doesn’t fit in a template.
What Do You Think?
Have you ever felt that gut feeling - like something about those income screenshots just didn’t sit right?
Or maybe now that you know tools like this exist, it makes you rethink everything you’ve seen on your feed.
I’d genuinely love to know:
👉 Have you ever questioned someone’s success story?
👉 Does this change how you view screenshots and “proof”?
